After two years of closed borders throughout the Asia-Pacific region, our APAC teams took the opportunity to plan a week-long workcation in Bali.
We have teams that are based in both Singapore and Vietnam, and most of the time we collaborate via e-mail and video calls. Because of this, we were all very excited about the trip as it would be the first opportunity to finally meet in person!

During the week, the team stayed in an amazing villa in South Kuta, which was an ideal location for working and relaxing. The beaches of Bali are spectacular, and the local food was delicious. Each member of our team brought their own unique culture to the team, shared stories and experiences, and taught each other their mother tongue. Having said that, we truly lived up to the motto “Work Hard, Play Hard.”
When it came time to work, we took it seriously. Each morning everyone gathered around the breakfast table for discussions and brainstorming. When work hours were over, we played table tennis, billiards, and had drinks by the pool. Everyone on the trip was in good spirits as the rooms were always filled with laughter and conversation.
The most valuable aspect of the trip was getting to know our colleagues better. When we know more about each other, we can communicate and collaborate more effectively. Keyrus is a team of diverse cultures, languages, and expertise which makes it strong. Everyone has their own role to play.
The presence of Keyrus EMEA co-founder Maud was significant to the team as well. She shared with the team the history of our team and elaborated on our company’s culture and vision. She is a great role model and her professionalism, spirit, resilience, and passion inspired every one of us greatly.
