In the world of healthcare, numbers must support lives—not overwhelm those managing them. DomusVi, Spain’s largest elderly and dependent care provider, found itself at the intersection of human care and operational complexity.

Managing 144 elderly care residences, over 34,000 residents, and more than 109,000 individuals through home care services, DomusVi needed more than just spreadsheets to plan, forecast, and consolidate its financial and operational performance.

That’s when they turned to Anaplan, and trusted Keyrus to guide the transformation.

The challenge: decentralized operations and fragmented planning.

With operations spread across Spain, Portugal and France, DomusVi’s finance teams were juggling dozens of manual spreadsheets to support budgeting, reporting, and forecasting. The risk? Errors, data loss, time lags, and missed opportunities for better decision-making.

For AdriĂ  Aguilar, Director of Management Control at DomusVi Spain, the pain was clear:

Why Anaplan? Flexibility, familiarity & fit.

The decision to go with Anaplan was driven by its intuitive modeling environment and flexibility—especially in a decentralized, multi-entity healthcare environment. In France, DomusVi’s parent company, had already piloted Anaplan with success. When the Spanish team saw how closely it mirrored Excel (but without the chaos), they knew it was the right tool to meet their FP&A needs.

The transformation was structured in phases to ensure a smooth rollout and to quickly deliver value:

  • Forecasting & YTG Planning: Expansion of the Anaplan model to include forecasting capabilities and YTG planning.

  • Continued enhancement of planning processes, with a focus on additional operational models and greater integration across service areas.

Next? SAP and Power BI integration, along with advanced scenario modeling to enable long-term planning and resource allocation across facilities.

Today, over 250 users across DomusVi rely on Anaplan’s centralized model. The results speak volumes:
