Since 2011, Coda has been on a mission to connect global online commerce to regions with low credit card adoption. By building bridges between local payment methods and global commerce, they've unlocked access for users worldwide while opening new opportunities for digital publishers. But their success created an unexpected problem: their planning processes couldn't keep up with their growth.

The challenge: Drowning in transactional data

Coda's global connectivity across numerous payment channels and game publishers generated massive volumes of transactional data that their manual processes couldn't handle:

  • Spreadsheet overload: Manual workflows struggled with the sheer volume of data, straining systems and increasing accuracy risks
  • Complex reporting nightmares: Generating reports required complex workflows using separate spreadsheet tools, making it nearly impossible to efficiently map data by game titles, publishers, product lines, and countries
  • Tracking limitations: Previous processes couldn't keep pace with the vast number of variables they needed to monitor, limiting real-time insights and team improvements

The solution: Connected planning in focused phases

Coda partnered with Keyrus for a strategic two-phase transformation. The first phase focused on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in a focused 13-week project, followed by a 4-week Sales Incentive Program (SIP) model that leveraged the FP&A foundation.

Phase 2: Sales Incentive Integration (4 weeks)

  • Connected Planning: FP&A model directly integrated with SIP model using Anaplan's connected planning capabilities

  • Dynamic Incentive Assessment: Bespoke approach assessing bonus eligibility based on performance data with transparent, fair payouts
