Transforming end-to-end planning at Importaco

Watch the interview
Breaking planning silos

United demand, sales, and finance teams on single platform and process.

SKU-level granularity at scale

Three years of daily sales data by SKU, customer, and destination.

Multi-scenario planning

Budget, optimistic, and pessimistic views with same effort as one plan.

Before, all the efforts were going towards having one version of the budget. Now with Anaplan we are working on having at least three scenarios—the budget, the optimistic, and the pessimistic—with the same effort.
Alejandro Alhambra
Director of Information Technology

As a family business founded in 1940 and now Spain's absolute leader in nuts and dried fruits, Importaco faced a critical challenge: planning happened in silos.

Demand planning, sales, finance; each team worked independently in Excel with different file versions circulating via email. The annual budgeting exercise consumed massive effort across the organization.

When Alejandro joined as IT Director during the pandemic, his mandate was clear: design a digital transformation plan. The solution required a tool serving all business areas in an integrated way, connecting demand and financial planning processes that previously operated separately, and enabling the granular analysis impossible in spreadsheets.
